We are sisters, both Moms, that saw firsthand how transitioning to school, or back to school after a long break, can be challenging for children. Children tend to be emotional and resistant to walk through the doors of a place where they can learn, grow, and create a lifetime of memories. It was heartbreaking for both of us to witness. One of us had a child experiencing this and the other, an Occupational Therapist in the schools with a background in Early Childhood, was seeing other children experiencing the same difficulties.

As we discussed ways to help one of our children overcome their fears, a unique story about a new "buddy" started to evolve. We saw firsthand how they wholeheartedly embraced their new "buddy" and chose the name School Buddy®.

With School Buddy's unique story as their inspiration, their courage and confidence began to blossom. We began to see them portray a new level of heightened encouragement not only to go to school, but to embrace more of life’s adventures too!
